At Northowram Primary School, we aim to inspire every child to become a confident, capable and enthusiastic reader and writer. Through a rich and varied English curriculum, children develop their vocabulary, grammar, reading fluency and writing skills. They are given opportunities to write for real purposes and audiences, develop their own ideas, and share and celebrate their work. Alongside reading for pleasure, our approach encourages children to think deeply, discuss texts and develop a lifelong love of reading and writing.
