Northowram Primary School values the individuality of all children. Our School Vision states that ‘All pupils will make good or outstanding progress’ (School Vision statement) and we are committed to giving all of our children every opportunity to achieve the highest of standards.

To achieve this we make every effort to achieve maximum inclusion of all pupils whilst meeting pupils’ individual needs. This policy helps to ensure that this school promotes the individuality of all our children, irrespective of ethnicity, attainment, age, disability, gender or background and recognises their entitlement of all pupils to a balanced, broadly based curriculum. Our SEN policy reinforces the need for teaching that is fully inclusive. The School Vision also states ‘Pupils will be given excellence in provision. This will enable all of their skills and talents to be nurtured and celebrated’. We ensure this by taking account of pupils’ varied life experiences and needs. We offer a broad and rich curriculum and have high expectations for all children. The achievements, attitudes and well-being of all our children matter. Our Governor who is responsible for SEN/CLA is James Allison.
